No matter where you com from India, you will find a version of Aloo Tikki which are nothing but potato cutlets being made in their kitchen or you find being sold as Indian street food. The procedure may vary to an extent but this is one of the most common snacks in India.
You go in the northen part if India, this recipe is bit modified to make a aloo tikki chaat, where the same aloo tikki are served with sweet and tangy dhai (yogurt) with different chutneys and a bit of sev to give a slight crunch.
While in parts of Mumbai its served as it is or its added to another part of chaat called ragda pattice. while Ragda is made from chekpeas its is served with different chutneys and a bit of sev to give a slight crunch just like you find in aloo tikki chat.
In this post I have shared my version of the aloo tikki, which I believe is simple and relatively quick to prepare and is extremely delicious. If you think adding or removing something from this, or you have a completely different method, I will really love to hear it from you, please share your thoughts in the comments below and also you can rate this recipe, that will help me share more such recipes which you like.
